Savings Bond Notice
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced it will end over-the-counter sales of paper savings bonds at the end of this year. This includes sales of savings bonds through financial institutions and applications mailed directly to the Federal Reserve Bank by customers. Savings Bonds are not going away. Electronic savings bonds in Series EE and I will remain available through purchase in TreasuryDirect, a secure, web-based system operated by Public Debt. We've expanded our "Seeds For Success" financing program to give you the flexibility to shop for the best crop input deals and cash discounts. Our loan rate is variable. The rate is based on the National Prime Rate with a minimum interest rate of 3.25%. This is for your 2012 seed, fertilizer, chemical and fuel purchases made before March 1, 2011.
At today's National Prime Rate, this would equal 3.25% APR*.
Seed notes will mature December 1, 2012. The interest rate will be variable at National Prime Rate with a minimum interest rate of 3.25% The National Prime Rate is currently 3.25%. For qualified borrowers only.
