Mobile Deposits

How should I endorse the check?

If the back of the check is not properly endorsed we reserve the right to reject the check for deposit. The endorsement should include the payee's signature (your endorsement) and the words "For Mobile Deposit Only FBT".

What should I do with my paper check?

Please securely store your check for 5-14 business days. After that timeframe, destroy the paper check. This will allow sufficient time in case the original check is required for any reason.

What types of checks can I deposit?

You can deposit original checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn at any U.S. bank, including personal, business, and government checks. The checks must be payable to and endorsed by the account holder.

What types of checks are NOT eligible for deposit?

International checks, 2 party checks, U.S. savings bonds, U.S. postal money orders, remotely created checks (whether in paper form or electronically created), convenience checks (checks drawn against a line of credit), and cash.

How many checks can I include in one deposit? Can multiple deposits be submitted the same day?

One check equals one deposit. Mobile Deposit does not limit the number of checks that can be submitted in one day.

Why am I unable to deposit my check?

Here are a few common errors that may cause your check to be rejected for mobile deposit.

  • Folded or torn corners
  • Front image is not legible
  • Back of check is not endorsed properly
  • Amounts not matching
  • Routing and account numbers are unclear
  • No camera on the device
  • Image is too dark
Can I view past mobile deposits?

You are able to view mobile deposits made during the previous 45 days, including the check images.

Text Banking

What are the text message keywords?

Use these text message keywords to gain quick access to the information you need:

  • B, Bal, or Balance: Check the balances for all accounts you have registered in Mobile Banking.
  • Tran or Hist (Account Nickname): Check the most recently posted transactions for the account you specify with the nickname.
Are the keywords case-sensitive?

No. Whether you type "BAL" or "bal," we send a response with your account balance information.

Why are my results sent as multiple messages?

Text messages are limited to 160 characters. Sometimes we can't send all your account information in one message because it exceeds the character limit. In this case, we send your account information in multiple messages — no more than five at a time.

I received my results in multiple messages. Some arrived quickly, but others didn’t. Why did it take so much longer for the others to arrive?

If you receive one message, it means we've sent all the response messages to you, and you should receive them shortly. It may take a few minutes to receive them all, depending on your mobile service. If you haven't received all your messages after a few minutes, please let us know. If the problem persists, you may want to contact your mobile service carrier.

I have text messaging enabled on my mobile phone. Why can't I receive Mobile Banking text messages?

Your mobile service carrier may be blocking short codes, or you may have blocked short codes in your phone options. You must have short codes enabled to use Mobile Banking. (Short codes are abbreviated phone numbers, usually five digits, we use to send Mobile Banking messages.) Check your phone options and then contact your mobile service carrier to ensure they aren't blocking short codes.
